This one-hour session is a review of the research and recommendations for administrators to consider during emergency management planning.
2. EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PLANNING
This session provides administrators and teachers with strategies for understanding the school district’s Emergency Management Plan. It highlights the planning cycle so that planning, executing, evaluating, and revising the EMP is comprehensive. The session is customized so that it meets the needs of your district or school. Session times vary from one hour to several hours, and can be broken up into several one- hour meetings, depending on school flexibility.
3. HOW DO I PREPARE MY STUDENTS FOR AN EMERGENCY?
Talking to students about tragedy can be a daunting task. This session provides basic guidelines that can be applied in any situation. The key concepts of using simple language and focusing on teacher and student strengths make this learning session very valuable.
4. BYSTANDER CPR & FIRST AID
CPR and first aid response training for mass casualty incidents. Training includes triage techniques and emergency critical intervention response training.
